Compute Purchasing Power

Compute Purchasing Power
I keep thinking about compute the way we once thought about oil, electricity, or bandwidth. AI models need compute. Data centers sell compute. Entire countries are racing to secure compute. So what happens when compute itself becomes a measure of economic power? That’s one reason ICP interests me. ICP → Cycles → Compute ICP can be converted into cycles, and those cycles are consumed to run applications, AI, storage, data and services directly on the network. Instead of only asking: “What is 1 ICP worth in dollars?” I think another question matters: “How much computation can 1 ICP command?” I call that Compute Purchasing Power. As AI grows, I think measuring assets by the amount of useful compute they can access may become increasingly important. Money buys compute. But what happens when the asset itself is directly connected to the compute layer? ♾️
